Birmingham Secondary School – Consolidate ICT assets to improve buying power and allow better management of life-cycle and replacement.

Initial tasks involved the registering of all ICT assets on a newly created central register, this allowed for our team to check the age and warranty status of each device. Once this information was gathered, an agreed life-cycle policy was put in place. This allowed the school to better understand the their current position and plan for the replacement of ICT.  An agreed standard for end user user devices was put in place to ensure suitable devices were purchased.  Ongoing procurement cycles are now in place which allows for easier budgeting.
